Do I need prior experience to become an advisor?

Not necessarily. While experience in education is helpful, it is not required. We look for passion and dedication first. As a Global Education Nonprofit, we provide a comprehensive training module that teaches you everything you need to know about scholarship applications, essay reviews, and student verification.

We respect your time. The role is completely flexible. Whether you can dedicate two hours a week or just one hour a month, your contribution is valuable. You can choose to review applications or mentor students entirely on your own schedule, making it easy to fit into a busy life.

This is currently a volunteer position aimed at creating global impact. However, we offer non-monetary perks such as professional certifications, LinkedIn endorsements, access to exclusive global networking events, and the opportunity to be featured as a “Top Mentor” on our platform.

Yes! Our entire platform is digital-first. You can review essays, chat with students, and verify documents from anywhere in the world using your laptop or phone. This allows you to help a student in Kenya while sitting in your office in London or New York.

Safety is our top priority. All communication happens securely through the Study-Fund.org portal. We do not share your personal phone number or private address with students. Our system monitors chats for safety, ensuring a professional and secure environment for both advisors and mentees.
